Locally reclaimed wood. The sustainable option.
EcoMaderas is an initiative that started many years ago when we were looking to salvage wood from urban trees that we pruned or removed and did not want to end up in a landfill. Our mission has been to create utilitarian pieces from locally reclaimed wood by our arborists to ensure that these extraordinary trees do not go to waste.
In Puerto Rico we reclaim wood from trees such as Eucalyptus, Pine, Melaleuca, Pterocarpus, Algarrobo, Mahogany, Maria, Saman, Almendro, Ausubo, Albicia, Teak, Reina de las Flores and many more. Our reclaimed wood planks highlight the beauty of these trees, while providing a sustainable option compared to furniture made from conventionally sourced wood.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED WOOD
EcoMaderas pieces are handcrafted in our workshop in Caguas, Puerto Rico, using locally reclaimed wood from our surroundings. When trees need to be removed due to danger or deterioration of their health, we do not dispose of them in landfills, we salvage and transport the logs to our sawmill to process them into wooden boards.
